Hi there! My name is Colin Fleisher.
Roughly translated, the above quote means "He who does not speak another language does not understand his own." Music is undoubtedly the universal language, and I would like nothing more than to help you learn to read and speak it.
​
I have been teaching both private and group music lessons since 2006 and focus on piano and guitar literature, though music is a language that is first written and should be understood regardless of instrument. That said, piano is my "forte," and I offer piano and guitar lessons primarily.

Lessons and Information
I offer lessons out of my home in suburban Cary. Lessons are either thirty minutes or a full hour, depending on your availability and level of interest.

Additional Lessons
It's not just about Piano...
The action of performance, vital as it is to the world of music, is simply the tip of the iceberg. How did the instruments become what they are today? How long have they been around? How does a piano work?!

In addition to instrumental instruction, I offer private lessons in music calligraphy, history, theory / composition, and if you're so inclined, maybe you can build your own instruments! (See image above, a 16th century German-style lute currently in progress.)
